Coastal Alabama Community College – South is based in Bay Minette, Alabama, and serves students throughout the region as part of the multi-campus Coastal Alabama Community College system. The college is known for providing affordable academic transfer opportunities, career and technical education, workforce training, and programs designed to prepare students for both employment and continued education.

The Coyotes compete in NJCAA Division I Softball as members of the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC), where they face some of the strongest junior college competition in the Southeast. The program is led by longtime head coach Mallory Radwitch, and the team plays its home games at the Coastal Alabama–South Softball Complex on the Bay Minette campus. In 2026, Coastal Alabama–South finished with a 31–26 overall record, reached the semifinals of the ACCC Division I Championship Tournament, and had six sophomores continue their academic and athletic careers at four-year institutions. With on-campus housing available in Bay Minette, athletic scholarship opportunities, and a competitive Division I schedule, Coastal Alabama–South provides student-athletes with an excellent environment to develop on the field while preparing for the next level academically and athletically.
