Located in Dothan, Alabama, Wallace Community College-Dothan is a public two-year institution known for affordable education, workforce development, career and technical programs, and transfer opportunities to four-year universities. The college serves the Wiregrass region and offers programs designed to prepare students for both immediate employment and continued education. The Governors compete in NJCAA Division I Softball as members of the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC). The softball program plays its home games at the WCC Dothan Softball Field and regularly faces strong junior-college competition, including Gulf Coast State, Chipola, Bishop State, Marion Military Institute, and Lurleen B. Wallace. Wallace-Dothan has also expanded its athletic offerings and provides scholarship opportunities for student-athletes, while the softball program enters a new era under head coach Nicole Dutton, who brings nearly two decades of coaching experience and a record of developing players who have continued their careers at the collegiate level.
